Grad program enrollment rises

St. Bonaventure's graduate programs and dual-degree programs are on the rise, according to Bruce Campbell, director of graduate admissions. The population of the graduate studies program has increased from 459 students in 2007 to 482 in 2008, Campbell said.

Arson suspected in Robinson fire

Allegany fire investigators suspect arson caused a fire that broke out in the Robinson Hall laundry room Saturday morning. Richard Trietley, interim vice provost for student life and director of Safety and Security, said a student in the lobby of Falconio Hall looked across the Robinson-Falconio quad and saw the fire.

Fundraiser puts students in close quarters

St. Bonaventure students may think upcoming final exams are the worst form of torture, but some got a small taste of real suffering this week during the "Left to Tell" bathroom fundraiser held Monday through Wednesday in the Reilly Center. The fundraiser featured a replica of the three-by-four-foot bathroom that Thursday's guest speaker and author of All Bonaventure Reads' book "Left to Tell," Immaculeé Ilibagiza, took refuge in during the Rwandan genocide.

Trietley moves student life programs forward

Richard Trietley, director of Safety and Security, has been continuing projects started under former vice provost for student life Stephen Pugliese, as the search for a permanent vice provost continues. The university appointed Trietley to fill the position vacated by Pugliese, who resigned the first week of November citing family reasons.
