Zarryon Fereti has been dismissed from the men's basketball team, according to head coach Anthony Solomon.
"I am very disappointed that it came to this," Solomon said in a press release Monday afternoon. "He had ample opportunity to embrace the philosophies of our program."
Fereti is the 12th player to leave the program during Solomon's tenure.
Fereti, a junior, transferred to St. Bonaventure from Southern Idaho, a junior college, last spring.
In 24 games, including eight starts, Fereti averaged 12.1 points per game and 2.1 rebounds for the Bonnies - good for second on the team - in 27 minutes per game. He also was second on the team in 3-pointers made (50) and free throw percentage (.865).
His free throw percentage ranked him sixth in the Atlantic 10, based on player's making 2.5 free throws per game played. He also ranked 10th in the conference in 3-pointers made per game, with 2.08.

I think solomon is a straight up douchebag. He should not be coaching this team. You want a real coach!? Call Mike Ruether!!!!! IMMEADIATELY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! He knows the game!!!

Look for an announcement following another non-competitive loss to the Hawks this weekend.

The reason the Bonnies are terrible is because their "philosophy" doesn't include the basics of basketball. What can you say about the defense that hasn't already been said? On offense, you cannot expect to win by throwing the ball around the perimeter for 23 seconds every time down the floor. (Continued…)

Drew Sneddon I fully agree with what you have written and is a fair comment. It is not for us to judge Soloman as I don't know him either, but it's the basics in basketball that these young men need not life lessons as they are old enough not children. (Continued…)
