Students and faculty voice opinions on use of undesignated funds
Funding makes improvements to housing, student life, and academics plausible

Ryan Poole, a sophomore journalism and mass communications major, said a lounge joining Robinson and Falconio halls should be rebuilt. Poole, who is the mentor for residents of the second floor of Falconio Hall and the third floor of Robinson Hall, also thought that there should be pool tables in the Robinson-Falconio complex.
Other faculty members and students want to see the money spent in the classrooms.
Clint Lienau, a sophomore journalism and mass communications major suggested "adding more to the theater program."
David Matz, professor of classical languages, said the $2.2 million should go toward "upgrading educational facilities, and getting classrooms technologically up to speed." He thinks that classrooms should be outfitted with computers.
Other members of the university simply want the money to be spent with a purpose in mind.
John Hanchette, associate professor of journalism, said the funds, "should be designated for something specific, such as more building. What they shouldn't do is ship it secretly into the undesignated fund, to cover daily or weekly funds. The more specific the results of the contributions, the more likely others are to donate. We need more faculty. You could have a broader variety of courses in each discipline if you had more faculty."
According to Andrea Trisciuzzi, associate vice president for development and campaign director, most of the Bonaventure Fund will help pay for unfunded financial aid. This means that the fund will be used to cover operational costs associated with the university.
