Maurice Thomas had a career-high 25 points and added 11 rebounds as the men's basketball team finished the game on an 11-0 run to beat Richmond, 71-67, Saturday.
Jonathan Hall added 15 and Chris Matthews scored 13 for the Bonnies (11-6, 2-2), who trailed the Spiders, 67-60, with 2:27 remaining before Thomas' two free throws and put-back layup sparked the run that put the Spiders (9-8, 1-1) away.
With the Bonnies trailing by three, Hall hit two free throws before making a layup as he was fouled. He converted the extra shot for the old fashioned 3-point play before Matthews stole the ball and hit the game's final two free throws.
