Threehouse said Pazda's mentorship to her younger teammates has made his job easier.
"She has led by example," he said.
The Bonnies currently sit in seventh place in the Atlantic 10 with a 7-9 conference record. Threehouse said it would take a sweep of St. Joseph's - games scheduled for today and tomorrow - in a doubleheader Sunday against Temple to push the team into the post season.
Both series will be played on McGraw-Jennings Field. The Bonnies will also celebrate Senior Day tomorrow.
"We've had some freshmen start stepping up at the end of the year here, but the seniors are the ones who will have to contribute down the stretch," Threehouse said. "Katie's our centerfielder, and she's an anchor in the field."
Pazda said the team was excited and focused on the task at hand.
"This is what we look forward to," she said. "I remember my freshman year we had to win a bunch of games at the end of the season during Spring Weekend. It's the best time you want to play because there are so many people out here cheering you on."
